Edit Nyári
Edit Nyári is a successful singer, songwriter and recording artist.
Born into a musician family her talent was shown at a very early age as she had unawarely grown into music and performing. Her father Károly Nyári is one of the most famous virtuoso pianist and singer of Hungary. After spending her early years in The Netherlands, as the family holds Dutch citizenship as well, she returned to Budapest to start her music education at her hometown. She began playing the piano at the age of 6 and continued to study classical piano at Weiner Leo Conservatory of Music Budapest. She has always considered music education very important so she started her classical singing studies at St. Stephen Conservatory of Music and currently she continues her studies at University of Pécs at the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts in classical singing department. Her career began as a child singer when she became the soloist at a musical concert show series called Musical World in 1997.
In 2010 as one of the finalists of the first series of X Factor Hungary a wide audience got to know Edit and her sister Aliz Nyári singing in a duo. Since then they have had hundreds of sold out concerts shows and performances together. Performing not only at highly successful concerts at venues in Budapest, Hungary such as The Palace Of Arts Of Budapest Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, The Budapest Sport Arena, the historical Erkel Theatre, the Hungarian National Opera House they have invitations to perform at international venues as well.
Edit Nyári achieved a lot together with her sister Aliz Nyári singing in a duo. Their debut single „Éld át" was a breakthrough in their carrier leading the radio charts for months as the Best Hungarian Song. The music video of the song gained recognition of professionals and the audience and it is frequently played by the music channels.
The success of the first song was followed by the second single "Pont jó" which also topped the radio charts and became the Best Hungarian Song again. As the title of the song says the performers found their own style expressing real, honest emotions. The music video was shot in the elegant ambience of the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest.
In 2012 their first maxi single titled „Pont jó" was released including their two successful songs as a runner-up to their debut album.
In 2013 December the first album of the singers Aliz Nyári and Edit Nyári titled „Let This Love” was released. They show their talent not only as exceptional vocalists but as songwriters as well. Their debut album contains 10 brand new songs from uptempo R&B songs to heartfelt ballads and also their two well-known radio hits. On the album Edit Nyári also sang her original solo song titled "My Song" a beautiful and inspiring ballad written by her. An international collaboration with the famous American rapper Shaun Pynne can also be heard. The songs are filled with honest feelings, love, womanliness and passion.
In 2016 the second studio album of the artists was released entitled "Szép szavak". The album contains some of the most beloved songs of the singers that were written by them beside beautiful covers of international and Hungarian hits in a very unique rendition. A truly heartwarming duet can also be heard on this special album with their father Károly Nyári.
Edit Nyári is a versatile artist who is not only a successful singer but had a great success playing roles in musicals such as "Casanova" at Esztrád Theatre in 2014, and "Houdini" at Mom Sport Hall Budapest in 2016.
Edit Nyári is a frequent guest star of popular Hungarian television and radio shows such as "Sztárban Sztár" on Hungary's leading TV chanel TV2, and the morning show called Fem3 Café.
In every year from 2015 Edit Nyári returns to perform at the Embassy of Hungary in Ankara, Turkey alongside her sister Aliz Nyári and father Károly Nyári representing their country, accompanied by their famous Hungarian jazz trio.
Edit Nyári is a frequent performer at the traditional Christmas concert, the Budapest Christmas Concert of his father, Károly Nyári. Throughout the years she had the chance to perform at venues such as Urania National Film Theatre Budapest, Thalia Theatre Budapest, Erkel Theatre Budapest, Budapest Congress Center accompanied by Budapest Jazz Symphonic Orchestra and Charles Music Chamber Orchestra that are founded by Károly Nyári. She enchants the audience each time at the sold-out concert shows that is a long-awated event each year.
Edit Nyári had the chance to enchant the audience with her amazing talent in classical singing at several classical concerts in 2019.
In May, 2019 Edit has accomplished her greatest purpose of life: she became a mother to her first son, Emánuel Kálmán Dráfi.
Edit Nyári is currently working on their new album with her sister that will include their original songs.
The singer would like to continue her success in Hungary and abroad as well in the new year as she has many invitations to perform at venues such as The Netherlands at exclusive events, parties.
